We had a Mountain Cur that just wouldn't quit barking and tried every chance she got to chase the ducks so we brought her back to the pound and got this pit bull mix we named Brownie. He's still a pup but gets along with our beagle Annie just fine which is what he's for. Hopefully he don't act up like Izzy did.

When they're young it's all in the training.

We had a pit mix that looked EXACTLY like that. He had been abused as a young pup and was very timid. I brought him home and house trained him in literally one day. That was the absolute smartest dog that I have ever known. He became very loyal and protective. We made the mistake of not socializing him with other adults and children when he was young. That became very hard to do when he got older.

He seems pretty smart,he learned his name almost instantly. I took about a week of debating on what to do. We've had Izzy since last summer and I tried everything over the months to try and get her to calm down but it's just in her blood I guess. I finally got to the point I couldn't take it anymore. I hated to bring her back but had no choice. Hopefully somebody will want an energetic loving dog and get her.
