On Halloween I bought 2010 F250 4x4 completely set up for both bumper pull and gooseneck trailers. It works great, but I don't have a gooseneck trailer. Any tips on how to get this 2 5/16" nipple out of my bed? I pull the lever and it feels like the pin moves, the ball will wiggle a bit with some encouragement, but just will not come out.

Does it twist then pull up and out? Or something similar? Picture of top and bottom?

What brand it the hitch?
Your most likely not pulling it far enough out!
Spray it with WD40 or pbblaster to free it up....

It's a square base, so no way to twist.
Sprayed and let soak several times the last 2 months, still doesn't help.
I'm pulling the lever as far as I can. It moves a few inches and we can here metal moving inside the framing.
I don't know if I can get far enough to the bottom to get pictures, I haven't tried to get between the axle and bed yet.
It's beneficial to have, it would just be nice to be able to use the entire bed too.

Your not getting it to move far enough... the pin has to move at least 6-8 inches... the pin goes completely through the base and then some! It may take 2 people or pry bar.
Good luck.... BTDT

Years ago, Pops and I had a similar setup and situation. Not wanting to use a torch, we opted for a steam cleaner which we used for cleaning equipment. It helped some, but mostly it took 3 of us with 6’ prybars and our biggest pipe wrenches (48” I think) and some under the breath cussin’ and a lot of muscle!

Mine stuck a while back. Sprayed with PB let it sit and then got under the truck with a 8 lb hammer and bar and drove it out. As mentioned above, make sure the pin is completely disengaged. Might have someone hold it for you while you pound away

Alrighty. I'll work on getting the handle to move farther and go from there.

Possibly. All I can readily see is the ball and the pull rod. I got it to move almost to the tire and it feels like it's maxed out, ball still laughs at me. I've been cutting wood most of the day but will stick it in the barn and try to drive it out from underneath later today or tomorrow.

Spray blaster or deep creep on it a couple times before you try it. After you do get it out put a film of lube on the corners.

I might be eligible to be called some kind of feminist now. I freed the nipple and it only took a few good smacks with the 2lb sledge.

You leave it out or flip it over?

You leave it out or flip it over? Greased it up and flipped it over. Probably should have cleaned the base better but at least I know how to get it out next time.

With the lift blocks that are between the leaf springs and axle it will have to be an extremely heavy load.

Just don’t leave it in there too long.

Just don’t leave it in there too long. I need to go knock some mud off of it so I'm gonna spray out the pocket then. Will a full coat of grease be fine or should I go with anti-cease?

But really Whichever is closer anti seize is harder to get off your hands it seems like. But grease generally has a lot more tack to it
