After researching the KSA 722, I purchased the "Sporter" model. Put a cheap Bushnell scope on it and shot it for the first time this morning. Time was limited and I only shot 4 groups. At 50 yards I was shooting about 1/2" with CCI standard velocity. Nice little rifle with walnut stock, right at $250 total. Here's a link to one of many positive reviews. americanshootingjournal.com/gun-review-keystone-adds-rounds-722/

I've been halfway shopping for a .22 for my oldest daughter, may have to handle one of these. I'd probably have to cut the stock down a bit though, unless they offer a shorter LOP in a youth stock.

This is the company that makes the little "Cricket" .22. I think that they may sell a shorter stocked 722 also. This one looks like it's going to shoot as well as the CZs that I've had.

Like the Firesights; interesting Firesights are nice, but at 70, a scope is pretty much a necessity for me.
