I will be in there on Sunday. Does anyone have any experience hunting this area?

I'll be in 54. I have only been two other times and hunted 34 and 75. Have never seen a deer there except while driving around. I go in with low expectations so I will not be disappointed.

I completely agree, I just like to see if I can get any idea about topography and vegetation since there is no pre-scouting.

I'd probably hunt the back. If I remember correctly the closed area on the back is like CRP. This time of year you might catch a buck cruising. Find a few big trails.coming across the road from the closed area and follow them.into your unit and set up. A few years ago there was a major rub line that you could see from the road.

Google earth, OnX Hunt maps, and a variety of other apps can help greatly in cyber scouting.

Plus, there are a lot of vegetation issues that aren't clear on satellite images.
