I love my hunting spot. I shot my first deer there and have been going there since I was an apprentice along time ago. However as I’ve gotten older dealing with school, work and girls it has occurred to me that clearing out time to drive over 3 hours one way and then back to go hunting isn’t always probable. But every year I find time to go down with my dad on a Friday night to get to our spot at 12am then setup way before first light so all we have to do is go back to the truck and grab some shut eye before it’s time to get into the woods. It’s those days that I treasure the most, joking with my dad just me and him those days are some of the highlights of my year no what matter the weather is. It takes a certain person to wake up as early as we do to get in the woods and setup before first light and enjoy nature no matter the conditions. And then do it again if we aren’t successful. Hunters are very special people indeed. Hunting isn’t looked fondly upon where I’m at, but I don’t care I love what I do. I might even call myself a hunting addict besides there are worse things to be addicted to then good old outdoors.
