I used to work in the Blue Ash area as well.....(place called united air specialists). My wife has an aunt that lives down there and asks me every year to come shoot deer because they eat her shrubs and flowers and the like. not worth the out of state tag and the headache of dealing with upset neighbors once the deer runs. Not sure if it's hunting when the deer don't fear you either.... but yes, urban hunting and urban deer issues are a real thing. it's tough to hunt them because of small properties, limited equipment and hunters don't like to deal with angry neighbors when bambi dies 3 houses down next to the kids swing set in the back yard and your banging on the door in your camo trying to retrieve your deer, while the kids are flipping out! I have seen deer standing between the on/off ramps and I-275 in cincy before in the mornings. I think the deer do it just to cause more traffic issues because all the drivers just know the deer are goign to bolt sooner or later.

I just moved to Indiana from Ohio last year. We had a lot of urban areas that could be hunted through programs or knowing the right people. I miss that sometimes. Some of the biggest deer I've ever seen have come from park areas or places you wouldn't think about hunting.

I seen that video earlier today. That one is a toad. I work in Sharonville at the Ford plant. There are some giants in that area. I'm actually in a bowhunt reduction program for the City of Wyoming ( a suburb of Cincinnati). Last year they killed a 188" buck out of that program.

I live in the Mack area (Green Township) and yes, there are monsters, but hard to hunt. They pattern us better than we patterning them, plus they stay nocturnal most of the time.

Those were some nice bucks. I don't have much experience with urban deer. While trying to find a source of red dye in a drainage we found a small pocket of trees around a tiny pond near a bunch of warehouses. Almost every tree was destroyed and there were scrapes everywhere. It was the most concentrated buck sign I've ever seen. I would have loved to see the deer that was living in there.

I used to live in an area called Mariemont down that way about 6 years ago. Our last summer down there my dad and I got asked to come out for the upcoming bow season and hunt some deer that were tearing up fancy golf course that our neighbor ran. Unfortunately we ended up moving to Hamilton county before the season started. But I can’t complain I’ve become a way more successful hunter now that I live in Indiana again.
