I have always tried to do everything that I could to be safe while hunting from trees. I have always used a safety harness, and I have used life lines for almost as long as I have a harness. The one thing that I could never get 100% confident with is recovery after a fall. I have carried suspension relief straps, pocket knives, extra prusik knot ropes and various other things around with me in hopes that I could use them to help me recover or get down to the ground after a fall. I have always had the mindset that it is not if I will fall but when I will fall. I have been looking at the Treestand Wingman (TW) for awhile now and last week I finally ordered one up. For the first time in my hunting career I will feel 100% confident that I can SAFELY recover from a fall. The TW can be used with any treestand or with a lifeline and it is reuseable! Just re-adjust the roller assembly back up to the top of the strap and you are good to go. treestandwingman.com/I am going to put some of the soft, fuzzy half of velcro on as much of the metal of the roller assy as I can to help eliminate the metallic noise. I will post up photos of that when I get r done. It comes with a pretty nice hip pack... Here is how I will have it set up for use with my climbers and will use the same connection to my lifelines, the carabiner on the roller assy connects to my harness...

That went pretty fast and easy, clanky metal now silenced! The industrial strength velcro has some serious stickiness to it! I wrapped two rubber bands tightly around the stem of the connecting eye for the carabiner. After I placed the carabiner on the roller assembly I pushed the rubber bands down to the carabiner and they are holding the carabiner nice and tight in place so that it doesn't rattle around. I think I have a winner! Cannot wait to test the TW out.
