They hit about this time last year also. I took a trip to Wyoming first week of October last year, and set my tent out on the porch about a week before I left. When I got to Wyoming and put the tent up, there must have been a hundred of them that had crawled inside the carry bag and even into the tent itself. So if Wyoming didn't have a population of stinkbugs before, they do now..

Use dishwasher detergent and water in a spray bottle. Kills them with no stink. Last dozen years or so and now have very few. Seen one or two so far.

The stuff I linked to has a 3 month residual effect. Only have to apply once - supposed to last even if it is rained on.

I had to Google stink bugs. I thought they were like them black beetles.
The Google image of a stink bug = is what I found on my Roma tomatoes the other day. My current bug problem is this black and orange color fellerS they are all over my place. I have some spray to use around the perimeter lasts up to two weeks. But if I spray it on them they just go their merry little way and die later. Some get under the garage door and I'll find them dead hoping from the spray residue. I need something better.

Had a ton of them last year in the back yard and they were getting up under the siding when winter was rolling inand then the garage, here in Shelbyville. I grew up in a small 60's built suburb out in the country side of New Pal. Until moving out here Ive Never seen them before, Along with cricket spiders.

Been slowly reducing their numbers each year. I use dishwasher soap water. Kills them and doesn't hurt the milkweed.

Shield bugs aka "stink bugs" www.bing.com/images/search?q=images+of+stink+bugs&id=6ACCE399CB052F3F3B811071700367AE03CC85EB&FORM=IQFRBASpraying around doors and windows to keep them out only means you have a bigger problem such as door seals and maybe new windows. You need to find every possible way for them or anybug for that matter from getting into your house. Suggestions: put a soft screen completely around your drier vent leaving enough room for the flaps to open and close. Screen around Your furnace exhaust and fresh air intake vents. Caulking around any holes leading into your home such as air conditioning lines, cable and television lines ext. Door sill plates, attic vents that don't have screen on them. Another suggestion is at this time of the year avoid using the front and back doors of your home if you can, we use our garage door which leads us into the garage and then into the house. Don't vacuum them up because they will stink up the vacuum. Pesticides are costly to uses on the exterior of your home anD they are only a short term solution, because stink bugs don't drag their body along the surface on which they walk they can walk right over treated surfaces. The extra time you spend sealing off you home will also help with other critters not to mention your heating bills.

With these see/saw temps we have had the STINKBUGS have been insane up here. Yesterday I had hundreds of them on the front of my house,so far none in the house itself but countless numbers in the garages. While killing them in the garages I found 3 wasps and thought this was crazy never had them before, turns out they eat stinkbugs so apparently they are following them around.

My garage is covered in stink bugs. I've been swatting as many as I can.
