I have a lifetime license and I have never hunted a state park and maybe never will but I was talking to a guy at church this morning that is new to our state. He bought a deer reduction Zone license to be able to hunt the state parks. I'm thinking he wasted his money unless he finds a spot in the deer reduction Zone here. I know you have to have a license to apply But I don't think you have to have any additional license too hunt the state parks. Is that correct? You could go to a state park and not have a license if you have filled the ones you had already bought before then?

Correct. Buy a license to apply for hunts but no license needed to hunt the parks. When you check them in online there is a place to check saying they were a park hunt.

It doesnt need to be a reduction license.

I am pretty sure the reduction lic will work... it just has to be a deer lic.
I could be wrong... I will research later!

Any deer license is required to apply.
No license is required to hunt or check-in park deer because you legally applied with a license and there is a choice of Park hunt deer at check-in.
Him buying a reduction zone license may very well be a waste of money if he does not have a place within a reduction zone to hunt.
