What are you wearing and why? In my ideal world the clothes would be cool, breathable, wicking, scent control and so on. I haven't found anything yet that fits my needs. I really don't like the "athletic cut" that is being sold by a number of the companies. My Spring turkey clothes are by Big Tom and they fit great but feel like rip stop nylon and they are hot. Any recommendations will be appreciated

I bought khaki cargo pants and a long sleeve shirt. I made my own camo hunting outfit out of them. It looks kind of stupid but it works. I've used home made camo the last 2 or 3 seasons and killed 3-4 deer each season. Most were within 20 yards. I've thought about making some camo tie dye for this season.

Cabelas stalking pants, First lite aerowool boxers and a First lite llano short sleeve merino top. Ill put long sleeves on when i get to stand.
Last years first lite line wasnt as athletic cut as sitka or badlands. I cant speak to this uear.

Under Armour heat gear pants and long sleeve shirt, Duluth armachill boxers, Smartwool lightweight socks, and uninsulated Under Armour rubber boots.
I'm a huge fan of Duluth Trading clothing for both hot and cold weather. Yes, they can be pricey, but they often run sales and close outs. In fact, I'm heading to the store in Louisville today to pick up some summer shirts that are almost 50% off. I'm outside almost all day everyday. I haven't wore pants or shorts other than Duluth for almost three years. I have no clue why they don't make hunting clothes. They'd probably put some of the others out of business. A good set of "shoremans fleece" in camo would solve alot of problems.

No matter what I think every clothing manufacturer is completely missing the boat for treestand hunters. I have yet to find a hooded coat, hooded sweatshirt, or rain gear, that has a built in tree strap slot just below the neck line.
It would be so easy to make a slot, put a "hood" over the slot to keep rain out, and the hood on the coat would still be a usable feature.
If one gets hot they could slip the coat off in stand it would hang on the treestrap where it could easily be slipped back on.

I'd love to hear reviews of warm weather clothes too. I like long sleeves, both for the concealment and slowing down the skeeters at least a little bit. I usually wear cotton... the poly/nylon-ish ripstop stuff is thin but seems all the hotter to me.

A lot of times I hunt right after work.. blue jeans or khaki type pants and a button up shirt. If I'm in a tree I have a camo harness vest, on the ground I'm concealed in a blind with the screen windows up.
If all I'm doing that day is hunting, it's usually some camo 5-pocket pants and a cotton camo t-shirt from Walmart. If it's real hot, I do change shirts once I'm at the tree, and stuff the sweaty shirt down in my bag.

Thanks for all the replies. I sure learned a lot and got some great ideas.
Medic, that First Lite is some nice stuff. May give them a try.
Cotton is out for me because I am a very sweaty guy. I stay soaked.
Beermaker. I have a UA heat gear long sleeve top. Thanks for reminding me. LOL. I wear smart wool socks daily and have for years. I will take a look at those boxers. Duluth just opened a store 30 minutes away
Again, thanks to everyone

Typical early season hunting attire: Same here. I spend more time in plain clothes in early season. I kill or at least see several every year in early archery dressed like normal. Obvious keys are sit still and play the wind.

Every hooded jacket and coat in here, rather it be mossy oak or Realtree, has a slot in the back for a tree strap. I guess I complained too soon....

Gotta watch that poison ivy and itch weed even more though ...

For early season hunting, I usually wear a long sleeve ACU shirt that I was issued when I went to Iraq. Couldn't wear it then( Because I was in the Air Force but assigned to an Army unit. Stupid, I know!) but I make good use of it now, and wear hot weather ACU pants as well. Otherwise, I'll wear some combination of ABU and APEX gear depending on how cold it gets.

I may not kill anything but I will be stylin......... Dealing with First Lite was a real pleasure

Dealing with First Lite was a real pleasure I don't have any of this new line but the aerowool is supposed to be merino and nylon mix, making it more durable than past years. I'm excited to get some to try out, but I likely wont buy any till end of season sells. I have enough First Lite and Sitka now to make my wife suspicious. I hope you like it, like sitka, kuiu, and others, its expensive but its worth it.
