What's everyone's opinion? I'm looking for a somewhat affordable semi auto and this has caught my eye. Rural King has the sportsman model for 749.99 when it has an MSRP of 1066.00. It would be my waterfowl /upland gun. The sportsman has the iron sights and only the modified choke tube.

I'd only buy it if it has the 28" barrel.

no opinion of the gun but it looks like it uses Pro-Bore choke tubes as opposed to the common Rem choke tubes

no opinion of the gun but it looks like it uses Pro-Bore choke tubes as opposed to the common Rem choke tubes It does. I'm leaning toward the V3. It comes w 3 chokes, but only a 3" shell. I don't shoot many 3.5"s at all. Just looking to get an affordable semi auto.

If the 3 1/2" costs the same as the 3" buy it, you never know when that bigger shell might come in handy and it also makes it an easier gun to resale.

The versamax is an awesome gun & you should use 3 1/2 for waterfowl

I have one and love it. I will say, it is a bit on the heavier side.
