Did they ask all of those opposed to the "death sentence" of raccoons, coyotes, and opossums if they would take in and care for these animals after they are captured by animal control?
Not sure how I feel about the bobcat issue. Have not seen any up here in my AO. Are there enough of them down south to warrant a season?

The ADC decision was the correct one in my opinion. While there will not be a requirement to put down all, the option is still there for the ADC operators. I do hope that release regulations are strictly enforced from this point on.
Bobcats have a high enough population level for a season in some areas of the state now. That simply means there will be a higher population number in a few years when this comes up again.

I wonder what IDNR is doing to support opening the season down the road. There are plenty in most counties. More bobcats than red or grey fox in Indiana. I get weekly pics of cats.

There’s enough for a season I hear from every one predator trapping they catch the dang things anyway a season would have allowed them to keep em My neighbor 1/4 mile from me caught a big one in a snare He Called DNR They wouldn’t let him keep it , not even a claw they took it and threw it in a dumpster a season would have let the trappers keep them Not now there are so many brig caught the use for educators is not there anymore WRONG DECISION imo.

I doubt very seriously if they will touch it again for 4 to 5 years. I do believe the director said it would not be brought back the next process and that is three years..

Folks need to start asking for a nuisance permit to show they are a problem.... pretty sure that's why the otter season passed or at least it helped it pass!

Hmm..... This scenario seems familiar. I wonder if the legislature will pass a bill requiring the DNR to set and open a restricted harvest bobcat season in certain southern Indiana counties? ;-)

Last Grey has been probably 10 yrs. In a snare set for coon. I may have tried to trap one but really doesn't impact me much. I see the population easily supporting a season but so be it.
