I’m not sure whether I’ll be in LaPorte county or Parke county for the opener. Either case it looks like a fair chance of rain. I guess I’ll see what the hourly looks like as the day gets closer.

I'm out with JDUB this morning (his last youth turkey weekend) had a bunch of birds so far and one what looked to be a nice big Tom but he was maybe 125 yards out. They aren't responding to the calls but several hens around too

Looks like a 30% chance of rain for me on the opener in Jasper County. Which means there's a 70% chance it won't rain. Glass is half full!!!

I'm also in Laporte county, it's looking like the chance of rain is very light for opening day. Hope you bag one up here!

Big poisonous spider outbreak in Parke County killing hunters and turkey alike. Here is one that was found dead on the road near bridgeton

Ha I wouldn’t laugh this one was found near your hunting grounds I can’t give exact locations as I don’t want to cause mass hysteria in our hunting area but it was in the bottom third of the state

You should made a video of your capture.....
That thing would probably even scare a Big Foot creature!

Opener looks a little cool with 13 mph north wind for Jasper County. If the wind is too bad I may not use decoys.

Should be good!
