My buddy bought the new remington 12 gage autoloader. We were shooting skeet and he was complaining of blow back into his face. I was shooting my 1187 without same issue. I shot his once and sure enough it was peppering my face. Very uncomfortable and unsafe. He researched it and found a few fixes. Most successful was a piece of electrical tape inside the fore grip covering the exhaust. I was floored that remington would allow that to continue with that design. Does his gun have the synthetic stock? I've read that the wood stocked versions have a bit of a different design that cures the blow back issues the synthetic models seem to have. It might be worth your friend contacting Remington to see if they have a fix available.

I had a Speedmaster .22 and foolishly sold it. I'd like to have that one back. I also had an 870 .410 that I thought would be the ultimate squirrel gun. It was a p.o.s! It jammed no matter what brand or length of ammo I used. I bought it new and sold it 10 years later for not much less than original cost.

I have a .22 speedmaster, an 870 12 ga., 30-06 700 ADL, and a .54 cal 700 ML and wouldn't part with any of them. Of course all of them but the .54 were bought in the 70's.

I have a Remington 700, an 1100, and an 870 super mag.
If I were in the market to replace any of those or buy a handgun...
Rifle - Savage
Shotgun - Winchester
Handgun - pretty much anyone but Remington
They just dont offer anything that someone else hasnt made better or cheaper.

Ceberus (ironically the name of the three-headed dog that gaurds hades) seemily bought half of the gun industry a while back, and is often the case with such acquisitions seems to want to make a short term profit off of the name of the companies while gutting them in the process. I hope that someone saves them, but they are saddled with a lot of debt.
