Did he pour some black powder on the wound and torch it to stop the bleeding?

Slap hot iron to it. Seriously, I know a guy who cut off one of his fingers in his garage. It was no accident, he had a pinky finger at the first joint that always hurt. He had been to the doctor who could find nothing wrong with it so he got home and went to his garage and used some sort of shear to cut it off. The guy was crazy but was on a 300 man city police force with me. He c ame into work with it bandaged and showed it to me. A few months later It looked normal except for the missing part.

I used a dremel to smooth off the edge of my broken tooth. Does that count?

No stick or hot iron, but he did pour some ol' red eye on the incision. Didn't much matter 'cause Matt Dillon killed him a few minutes later.
