The wife and myself were hunting my dad's swamp (in Steuben Co.) last evening and we witnessed a herd of 10 deer (including one 6pt buck) walk into the swamp at 5:25pm. Neither of us had a shot (the deer were 200+ yds from either of us with brush and trees in the way). Looks like they've herded back up...?
On another note, we saw at least 1000 ducks of various species occupying the unfrozen water of Lake Gage this weekend.

I had 6 of the biggest ole nanny does you could ever ask for come into a plot together Saturday evening. Only 5 left the plot under their own power.

I saw 10 last Wednesday with a big buck. Looked to me like their starting to herd up.
