After 42 years of hunting,I finally got checked by a CO yesterday morning as I was getting ready to get in my truck to come home. It's nice to see them out doing their job. The first thing he said was "Did you see anything??" I said "Squirrels" he chuckled and then after a few minutes of chatting he asked for my license,I said sure and that was it.Kudos to the COs. I did get checked for fishing once back in the 80s for fishing at a public park up in Adams County but this is the first time for hunting.

57 years in the field, some when at an early age riding my bicycle out to the woods, never even saw one in the field, let alone had one check me. Work with and around a bunch of them at events such as IHEA, Hoosier Outdoor Experience, State Fair, Kelley Camp. Guess my time will come when I forget something or do something without thinking.

Never been checked while hunting but I've been checked fishing a few times. Back when I had a quad I got checked riding on the county roads (legal here) a couple times. Got ticketed once for riding in an unauthorized area. Didn't really agree with it as it was along side/part of the road but it wasn't part of the road but rather part of the Hillenbrand FWA. 3 days prior I got a speeding ticket in Gibson Co. That was an expensive week for me. Paid them both (deferral on the speeding ticket) and went on. That was in 2002 and haven't got ticket since. The speeding ticket was my first ticket ever.

I've had a few speeding tickets and a failure to stop over the 39 years of driving.

Never been checked hunting but was stopped three times on lake monroe one day. Twice by the same one. He laughed when he realized it was me again but I had taken my shirt off. Last year was the first I have not been checked on the water in awhile.
