I'm hunting a place I have never hunted in the morning and the majority of it is grasses like 4 feet tall or so typical of where you would find pheasants. I'm wondering if it's poosible to sneak up on deer in a place like this in the type of weather we are suppossed to have tomorrow. I don't want to shoot at running deer so I'm wondering if anyone has experience doing this and getting shots off at deer that are not running. My other option is to climb a tree in a small cluster of trees between a couple of grass fields but I'm thinking they aren't going to be moving.

It's possible, and I've done it, but 4 foot high grass. You're shooting at a running deer. When they come out they ain't messing around.

Yep you will be shooting at a running deer and they will bust right before you step on them. Bad idea
