Let me put this out there...
It is a myth that the insurance companies lobby the DNR to increase antlerless permits. Deer and vehicle collisions are covered under comprehensive and they just raise everyone's rates to cover any increased dollars spent on these accidents. I can guarantee you that the money does not come out of their pockets, but it does come out of ours. They will NOT absorb those costs and they will NOT lose money no way...

Yea my rates went up due to higher payouts by the insurance company. I've never had a claim in my life but that doesn't matter much.

Insurance is based on spreading out risk of loss over a larger group. Yes, many never have claim's and some have a lot. Most companies do offer discount's for being loss free and some even give refund checks at end policy year for being loss free. As far as deer claims (Comprehensive losses) they are a small portion of claims pie. LIABILITY and COLLSION claims amount to biggest part of payout's.
