Warmer temps arnt helping daytime movement last few days. Nope. Hunted Versailles on Monday with a friend and he went back Tuesday. 18 deer checked in Monday and his buck was number 2 on Tuesday. Only heard 4 shots from daylight until 1pm. Over here in Ohio guys are complaining about lack of activity also. Who would've thought we'd hit almost 70 on November 28th?

Really no change in temps till late next week. Gonna be 60s and a full moon. Counting on muzzleloader season to be cooler. I hope.

I saw 8 deer opening day, they were moving....just nobody out there to shoot them I saw 9 by 10:00...most I've seen in that amount of time for as long as I can remember. Honestly, I only went out to keep my opening day streak alive, but it turned out to be a great, but brief, hunt.

You’ve got all the deer in Indiana on your place. I had all of them on my place yesterday morning. I wondet where they will all migrate to next? 😉

Even if M/L season and Special Antlerless equal last year numbers . look like the harvest will be down quite a bit which unfortunately means DNR will jack up antlerless bonus numbers next year. Cause and effect, cause and effect.

Cause and effect, cause and effect. Last year these seasons had a total of about 12,000 so you are probably right. I think we will be down 9,000 because the 19,000 we were down for opening day.. I'm pretty sure that the Head Deer Biologist is smart enough to factor in that disastrous opening weekend of 2017 when he computes the antlerless permits for next season.

I truly believe that this year's figures would have been very similar to the last season's if it had not been for the late start of the firearms season and the horrible statewide weather on the opening day. I'm looking forward to seeing what the muzzleloader season figures will be with the statewide cold weather coming in for the next couple of weeks (at least).

I'm sure he is too Woody but sometimes I wonder just who has the final say and how much pressure one way or another is put on the biologists.
