Most state and national forests allow them up to the county limit.

I wish I had the problem of too many deer on my place:) as for restrictions- I think private land owners should have more control of their own deer population and put the restrictions on public land where hunters are less caring about the deer population. That's a big part of the problem. Private land owners who THINK they have their own deer population.

Been working with neighbors every since we moved here 13 yrs ago. No shortage of antlerless deer and mature deer. (Problem)?? lol. I love my problem. Landowners that don't over harvest antlerless deer and don't harvest immature bucks.

The closer to a 1:1 buck to doe ratio you get, the better your rut hunting will be. Let yourself get over run with does and the bucks never have to search. I haven't had that problem since the 90's, but I'm not in the heart of Switzerland, either. Summer patterns. In a non AG area of county. No crop fields around me for several miles. I plant close to 15 acres of food sources. Alfalfa, corn, soybeans, clover and fall plots. I see 6-8 bucks a day pre and seeking phase of rut.

Saw 47 anterless this evening and 12 bucks. All on my just my 140 acres of heaven. My 2 neighbors have 450 acres combined and rarely shoot a doe. I have to harvest 10-12 a season and really should have more killed off farm. My buddies love me. You probably won't seen that in many areas of the state being we went to a reduction mode that seems to have worked! You have what many would call a great problem to have. Not complaining Greg. Moved here 13 yrs ago to have this problem. Hunting is better here now than when I moved here.
