Always good to hear when even a portion of jobs lost are brought back Many of the people that had their job done away with took a "quit package" meaning they no longer chose to be employees and will not get their job back. I would say all that were laid off that want to c9me back will be back.

Jobs are always good, but has anybody heard the wage scale and benefits package? This was kind of what I was wondering. And Are they non union? It is a union plant and most of these jobs are $50-60,000/yr before overtime. You can make double that. Insurance is good an I think it's $32/wk or around there.

I like to be optimistic but Alcoa showed their true colors. They will close it again.

I like to be optimistic but Alcoa showed their true colors. They will close it again. Could be true. I'd say it will close again at some point. May be 5 years. May be 25. Since the management that closed it now works for a different company that is a competitor of ALCOA, I'd say there was a reason that they closed it before they left ALCOA and went to Arconic.
