So I guess all those guys wanting to save the antlerless bucks during the fall so the have good genetics and age structure in their localized herd are simply helping the guys 5+ miles down the road.

Habitat, habitat, habitat. If you have it, Deer will flock to your property. Like in many wild spieces young offspring are pushed from home area in early years. (Both male and female) Been my experience that if allowed to mature they often return. IMO habitat , espically cover is a major factor. Just like real estate. Location, location..
