Do you shoot getting ready for deer season?

I shoot my rifles and bows year-around. Probably ~100 rifle rounds per month and probably 100 arrows per week, even more during 3D archery season.

I start every year on August 1st for real and sometimes during the summer if I have time. I make time after the 1st.

Rifle ... maybe 3 out of each gun I am responsible for.
Archery ... maybe 100.

Usually a month before..
Another question..,
How many practice DURING season? Especially archery season..

It all depends...a lot on how it does during practice.
I am 99% bow hunter. Starting August I try to practice daily, never shooting to exhaustion though. Then once September hits I'm a 1 arrow practice at a time. I will hardly ever shoot a follow up shot and NEVER from the same place. When presented with a shot while hunting you don't get a follow up shot from the exact spot 99% of the time...yet countless people do this over and over in practice. They launch 6 arrows and group 4 or 5 great but that first one was their worst shot...they are not ready for the field IMO. So once September hits for me I switch to the one shot concept to make sure I'm absolutely ready...all of this goes out the window if a sight gets off or strings changed or something with the set up changes and I have to restart.
Firearms I'm much lazier. Once I have them sighted in I'm like Swilk. I'll pick it up and take 3 well spaced and different shots....if I do my job and the gun is still zero'd I'm done. Now if I ever bump or drop...or shoot my gun during the season I'm going to do everything I can to shoot it again at a target and not a live animal to be safe.

Normally, I check the scope sight, on my .308's & .270, three different times during the year. Late Winter (weather permitting) Spring, and late Summer. My longest shot here on my place is around 200 yards so I like to have my bullets strike dead-on at that range. I usually fire five times, each rifle, when checking the scope sights, and use my hand loaded ammunition.

Archery - multiple times a month continuously and still not enough. Rifle - just a time or 2 with the specific one I'm taking out; I have shot a lot of rifle over the years and get enough of them out over the course of a year I just need to check zero on the one I'm going to be using.

I'm shooting some type of firearm all the time, rarely go a week without shooting something. All of my hunting firearms get taken to the range prior to season and checked out with the ammo I will be hunting with to see exactly where they are hitting at the various yardages. May on;y take a couple shots to confirm I'm still good, but check them out anyway.
I'm not a hobby archer, just do it to extend my deer season. Start shooting pretty regularly a couple months before season, maybe 3-5 times per week 5 to 25 arrows. By the time season opens I'm pretty confident. During season, I'll frequently shoot a couple arrows before heading to the woods. After season, gear goes back in the closet for months.

Trigger time is trigger time. 99% of my shooting is 22s

I'll shoot three after it's going where I want it to go, and that's it. I guess if I were competing or going to the Olympics, I'd have to shoot a couple more, but...
I don't have long distances to shoot, so for what I need to know doesn't take much.

I will say that back in the days of shotguns and muzzleloaders I shot a lot more to prepare for season .... but that was mainly because it was a constant fight to get them to shoot the way I wanted them to.
Rifles are easy... relatively speaking.

I guess it depends on a persons definition of tack driver .... getting substitute MZ's to shoot MOA or better was never an easy thing for me. Even my Savages fight me on it often times.
Minute of deer is easy though ....
Minute of deer is all that some shotguns were capable of. No matter what I did. No matter what I tried. A 3-4" group at 100 is all they would do.

I shoot rifles probably 5-6 times per year. If season or a trip is coming up, I'll verify zero and that's about it.
Archery, I start getting serious late summertime and practice a couple times per week up until opener. During season, I may shoot 3-4 arrows here and there to make sure everything (mainly me) is in good working order.

I had some work done to my .30-.30 so I will put a box or 2 through it when it gets closer to season. As for my xbow I will shoot an arrow at each distance from 20-50 yds in 10 yd increments just to check it. Other than that I shoot just for enjoyment a handful of times over the summer maybe a couple guns at a time. I will also shoot clays a few times for practice and fun.

Shoot my muzzleloader about 10 times before season, archery I try and shoot 50 times a day on our farm. I'm just trying to stay consistent and practice when I can.

5 to 10 with each rifle or shotgun
100+ or more in the summer with my crossbow and compound. Hunted about 50/50 with each last fall.
