Does anyone think this pic represents what the size of deer herd was at any time in Indiana..... or thinks it will be allowed to grow to this size?

I've seen 80 in one 20 acre field before at night during season with 120 total in it and the two adjacent fields. Woody has probably seen it too. It was in his area.
I guess anything is possible.

The reality is...(whether groups and/or individuals want to admit it or not), like most mid-western states Indiana has been involved in herd reduction over the last several seasons.
Based on that, do I think that the DNR wants to see overall herd numbers rise back up to the levels they were before herd reduction?
No....I don't.

Have you been shining my food plot again? Looks like these deer are all waiting for the feed truck to drive down that road. biggrin2

I have seen similar size herds before This isn't uncommon in the winter on certain properties that have the food sources to support it. Does anybody think the entire state should look like this all the time?
