I dropped one last week at 62 yards with TSS. It will shot them a lot farther than that.

60 yards guns have been out for decades. All have to do is find one those real old shotguns with a long choke barrel with a choke less then a dime. Those barrels are priceless.

Thanks for the reference. I had never heard of them. Been a Jeb's/Indian Creek and Briley user. For my sporting clays gun( Beretta 686) I have always used Beretta chokes. Will appreciate your input.

This is why people are buying compact and youth 20g guns and shooting TSS out of them. Light gun and short barrel.

I have a Kinks extended turkey choke on my Beretta A400 30" barrel, and it will reach out and say hello.

"Not long ago, 20 to 25 yards was the sweet-spot range" I'm 55 and don't remember thinking the sweet spot was less than 40.

Well personally, I won't use any other after market chokes other than Muller's. Jimmy has been supportive of me in competitions from day one and in my opinion makes the best patterning chokes, as well as simplified the system of choke tubes itself. The first day I bought them I went out and won the US Open Preliminary event in my class. What Muller has been able to do is produce better ballistic patterns with the chokes, and separately produces each choke for every different thread pattern so it doesn't throw off the factory balance or feel of every gun, but makes the shot pattern much more consistent. Each choke is different for each gun unlike other brands, in that the length of each choke is tailored for the ballistics as I mentioned. Some more upsides, they have extremely little carbon build up, and weigh almost nothing. His system runs a little different in the competition world as he labels his by numbers, 0's-4's. With 0 being about a cylinder l, 1 being an improved cylinder, 2 being a light mod, 3 an improved mod, and 4 being a full choke. I won't bore you on the ballistics of the chokes, but simply the way he's been able to manufacture Ballistic aluminum and make the shot have a near perfect perimeter of shot is amazing. I'd recommend his chokes to anyone. If you have any questions about them, you can email me or shoot him an email and he'd be happy to help.

I used 8 1/2 last week in Bama. Will use 7 1/2 here. Most people shooting TSS with a 20g are using a blend like 8.5 and 9.

People who can hunt and do hunt, hunt and talk about hunting.
Everyone else buys more stuff, like 60 yard turkey gun. They write articles about the stuff they bought at Walmart and talk about that.

I say more power to them. It's about enjoying the sport any legal way they can. ...don't worry, be happy. ....Or else one will become a grumpy old man criticizing anyone a little different.
