Some remodeling on the house. Momma now says she wants white woodwork after 30 years of stained!? Major chore.. Another Habitat for Humanity home build is underway. Between my home remodeling and Habitat I'll be busy until at least turkey season.. I've got the .243 so I might try to lure in a coyote or two.... Mine has decided the same. She wants the kitchen cabinets white and all the trim in the house white. All of it is stained now. Still trying to decide if it wouldn't be easier to remove it all, paint it and reinstall? Won't be easy either way. In my experience trim is better painted removed, cabinetry can be accomplished affixed and hung, more of a hassle to remove than paint while hung.

as others on here have already talked about I think 2017 is the year of the kitchen remodel because my wife also wants to remodel ours this spring.
I will also be starting to figure out any property improvements I want to make. #1 on this list is improved bedding areas. Then its time for Turkey Season!

Tentative 2017 Plans:
March > Alabama Hog Hunt
May > Indiana Turkey
October > Wyoming Antelope, possibly add Deer and/or Elk
October - December > Indiana Whitetails
I will still have another week of vacation to use, probably on another trip out west. I'll just have to see how the draws go.
We'll fill in the gaps with weekend camping trips, small game, fishing, and as little work as possible.

Ditto on removing woodwork to paint, I did my whole house about 10 years ago. Every baseboard, every door frame even replaced interior doors. Had the old 80s dark stain and my wife wanted white.

Season is never over here. Supp. feeding in progress, weather permitting will begin lime and fertilization of fields and plots and tillage of new fields once dry. Scouting and maintenance of tree stands as well as some shed hunting. Plan on doing some hinge cutting in couple sanctuary's as well.

OK... How did you all paint the woodwork over the stain and polyurethane? Sand a lot or just use a primer? If I remove the trim I know some of it will break so I might just go with all new white trim IF I have to sand the old stuff I removed...

Zinsser BIN Primer will be your friend after a good bit of sanding. Our cabinets (above) were stained a honey oak with poly coating. We tried the 1-2-3 primer but it reacted with the chemicals in the wood of the doors so we had to re-sand and re-prime with the BIN Primer.

My wife bought a good quality paint with primer IN one, I did break some baseboard and matched the replacement, the living room I replaced all the baseboard. Some door jams took two coats but didnt sand anything unless I used wood filler for repairs.

I have lots of work to do, but I do it slowly and don't worry about it.
If the Good Lord is willing: I'll be trapping for the rest of this month. I think I'll try to call in some of those coyotes too.
I hope to finish some small projects this winter, and finish the cement clapboards this year. I've been saying this for two years ...but really mean it this year. LOL
I'm hoping to get my jeep fixed this year.
Spring turkey and then food plot.
I have 3 guys lined up to sponsor for the Vet turkey hunt in the spring.
Build a Trump Tower in the bottom land.

Have some stands to take down. Have some cameras out that need checked to see whats on em, have some more cams to put out. I like seeing what made it on each farm.
This will be my first year i put in food plots. Havent decided on size yet, thats to be determined. Have a good buddy thats sells for Eagle Seed Co. Hes the only one in Indiana to my knowledge. The last 3 years his kills have been impressive. He swears by a mixture of seed he plants in his plots. His plots are impressive i will say. Anyway, im having him come out and give me some suggestions and will go from there.
Plan on getting out in the near future and chasing some yotes.
Have a ton of work still to do around our new place, looking forward to tackling that in the spring.
Pick up some more stands for next season, and maybe a new rifle or 2. C'mon Oct.1

Deer season is over but that means its time to prepare for next season. Maintaining trails, scout for new stands, etc!
Also, I will be doing a lot of yote hunting. Just finished my PSA AR15 build and sighting it in this weekend. Hopefully it'll get cold enough for some ice fishing.
