I shot the matthews switchback back in sept at the local archery shop. It was awsome but couldnt get myself to pay that much for it. :-/I found myself daydreaming about it all thru hunting season. Every time I went in the bow shop it was hanging on the end rack getting my attention. :-*While getting new limbs put on my bow the other day I decided I had enough and bought myself a switchback xt. ;D It should be here any day now !! Yeah baby !!

Yeah baby !! I`m of the opinion that matthews bows are way overpriced, just my opinion tho. I also kinda dislike them because of a campaign ad I saw a couple of years back when they were blasting Hoyt over an ad Hoyt put out that they disagreed with. I shoot an AR-34, and it`s SWEET and QUIET.

Yeah, about all the bows are getting way up there in price. I wouldnt have bought this bow if the shop owner had not gave me a generous amount of money on my trade in. I havent heard of the AR line of bows so i looked them up. They looked nice . They seem to be priced higher then the switchbacks though. archeryresearch.com/bows.html

I think I bought my AR-34 in 2004, and paid $600 for the bow, then by the time I put on the F-16 sights and all the other stuff, it was close to $1000, but I had thought Matthews was more expensive than that.

Really most of the bows today are not much higher than some of the older highend bows of the past. I paid $700.00 plus for my PSE Mach 5 when they came out. It's just that there are more top end bows out now.

Congrats on the Switchback. You will not be disappointed. Although they are very short, it's on of the most forgiving bows I've ever shot. ( and I've been shooting since 41-44" bow were standard...LOL)
