I hunted in owen Putnam sf at the end of co rd. 850 n (SW of the town of cataract) About an hour or so into my hunt I heard a horn honking franticly in the direction of my truck. when I returned there was a homeowner there telling me I was on private property. I was on sf property and argued my point. he said he was calling the police and I was to wait for them. he left and I waited for a while . they never came. I called Jim Gallagy the property manager he said I was indeed on sf, but where I parked wasn't a designated parking spot. there was no signs of any kind and I parked just to the side of the gate as to not block it. Mr. Gallagy also said they have had numerous calls about that parking spot and that homeowner. I asked him if he had considered putting a no parking sign there. He said don't tell me how to run my property. I thought it was our property. It seems Owen Putnam is being manage for the benefit of the surrounding homeowners
Anybody know of this spot or of this homeowner, he lives at the last house on the left of co rd 850n. Sorry for the long story. but ive been reading from this site for years and joined to get some input from likeminded people.
Hope all of you have a great holiday and get to put some meat in the freezer.

At least you didn't get towed.
A frustrating experience I'm sure. Can't one park on the side of the road there to hunt? Some parks will let the hunter and others will not. This is up to the park manager. I could be wrong, but I think some of them don't like hunters much.

That's not harassment if a homeowner is telling someone he is parked in wrong or illegal spot. if he was on public property and the guy was blaring his car horn knowing that someone is hunting there that sure fits the bill of harassment to me being parked in a wrong spot isn't enough to warrant the use of harassment

Takes more then blowing a horn trying to get someone's attention.

No sure your point ....But blowing a horn to get someone attention is not Hunter Harassment. Did anyone say anything about Hunting to the guy parked? How did someone know the parked car was there to Hunt?

How did someone know the parked car was there to Hunt? my point is that if the guy is going to use police force as an intimidation tactic and you arent in the wrong use it back. I'm sure the guy thought someone on state land During hunting season was back there doing anything but hunting. You are crazy to act like the guy didn't know he was back there hunting. I know you Love to just argue for the sake of argument but I have 10 more hours at work so we can do this where we both make a post and don't really say anything all day. If ifs and but we're candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Christmas. Maybe I'm wrong and the landowner thought he was back there eating kittens or some other weird stuff but I'm pretty sure you know and I know that the guy knew there was someone hunting back there.
