So I have this "friend". Went over to his house today to help him with some manual labor. Figured he would pitch in. Basically stood around the whole time while I worked. Even watched his wife cut firewood with a chainsaw. Pretty much stood around and "MODERATED" the work we were doing. Said he'd make his kids finish it up. Used my equipment and all. How do I approach this with him without hurting feelings? Now he did pull the lever on the log splitter ONCE. Any help would be appreciated. nfalls116

He told me the pup is almost to old to get his tail docked or something? Him and I have never worked together. But then again I've got a suspicion that no one has ever worked with him.

Some people are not built, wired, programmed, or whatever to work. That is why they hire other people to do things for them. Some people should hire others, but instead roll through endless amounts of "friends" because they are too cheap to hire someone.
Being nice pointing these types of things only makes things harder on the person trying to be nice.

That's funny....I had a buddy come over to help split some firewood this weekend. I had to stand next to him the whole time cause he kept talking and asking if he was doing it right. Yea yea you are doing a fine job...more lever pulling less jaw flapping.
I even had to ask my wife to buck up the rest of the pile. So I could keep him on task. We made the best of the situation and got a pile o wood so it worked out well.
Sounds like my friend and your friend should be friends

duff Sounds like a "moderator" excuse to me your friend comes to help and you stand over him telling him if he is doing it right or not then since you are to busy to do the work for your firewood your wife has to pick the slack up because she knows if she doesn't cut split and carry the firewood and Stoke the fire then your kids will get cold. Smh

Ever heard of Stockholm syndrome? You abuse your friend enough and he seeks your approval and ends up defending you. He probably seeks advice on internet forums and you go on there and bash him acting like he is the one in the wrong. Good tactic duff the only way to keep people from fighting back is to keep breaking their spirits

I'd say his "friend" did it because he felt bad that his wife and kids were freezing cold what with no heat and all.

Not enough space on the server for that. Unless you guys pay woody 20 a month for the space.
