Fantastic deer. Congratulations! I am, however, slightly frightened by whatever dog he has dropping loads that size.

Lol, I sent the pics to scrub buster before I realized my free yard fertilize was in the pic.
Anyways, my 1st encounter of this buck was January 9, 2016. I found his left side shed..I actually, 2 weekends later, jumped him up and he still had his right side attached. I searched like a mad man until green up but never found his right shed. I managed upon him this summer twice on quad rides over the farm. This is the 1st year I didn't bow hunt in almost 20 years, but found myself glued to my climbing stand when the gun opener came around. I passed up several decent deer always having an image of him in my head. Thanksgiving morning, this buck came in with a doe and he was 40 yards away. I could not get a shot on him. As they fed their way off, I thought to myself, there went my chance. Well, 2 days later, at 11:50 I hear a twig snap. Look over my shoulder and there's a doe feeding in an opening. She moved about 5 yards and this guy walked right where she was standing. I didn't know it was him when I shot. I knew it was a good buck, so I decided to pull the trigger. After waiting 1/2 an hour, I climbed down and began blood trailing. I had heard him crash but was just making sure I took my time. When I walked up to him I then realized it was the buck I had been holding out for. Thanks to my buddy scrub buster for posting pics and I should post here more often. Life gets in the way and I stay pretty busy. Thanks for the kind words, I am happy I got to harvest him. He will be hard to top, but that doesn't mean I won't try!

Thanks for filling us in on the details. Send me a picture of the shoulder mount when you get it back. See if they will age it for you.
