Last year during firearms season I had a guy tell me I wasn't legal. The way I read the requirements I say I was. I had a Solid Blaze Orange cap on and a Blaze Camo vest on.
I realize Blaze Camo vest doesn't meet the requirement but the Solid Blaze cap does, so I think I was legal.
Is Blaze Camo illegal even if I have satisfied the Blaze Orange requirement with the Solid Blaze cap?

Ok thanks that's the way a read and understood the requirements, the cap made me legal. I just add the vest cause it gives me a bit more visibility to hunters and hopefully not to the deer.

Yep - Hat makes you legal.

Guy didn't have a clue...or misunderstood himself. Hat is enough, so long as visible, unlike our problem neighbor that wears a hoodie over his....

If hunting on public or private ground during regular firearms season you were/are legal.
If hunting during a state park hunt you must have head and chest coverings in solid blaze orange.
IMHO, if the HPR rule stays or expands, I see the park rules being new state wide rules.

I hunt Hoosier National Forest and a small parcel of private land that adjoins HNF. But 99% of the time I'm on HNF. Thanks All for your replies!

Yep. I'm full camo, and put on an orange cap on my way in to my tree stand.
