Well yes that's a given, but is there even a legitimate reason he filed a lawsuit against them.

I read the lawsuit: the buck was originally scored a 218+ non-typical 6x6 rack, that was later changed by a B&C representative to a typical 5x5 rack scoring s 180+, he eventually sold the antlers to the next guy who had another official score the antlers at 213+ as a non-typical 6x6 rack. (When it was previously scored a 218 it was officially the world record) again scored at a 213 it would still have been the world record. He's suing because he followed all the proper guidelines for scoring a buck, B&C is refusing to accept the new measurements because they'd already decided to list it as a 180 typical. Therefore the lawsuit.

He claims on facebook it is the "right thing" and he "has to for a promise to Mr. King" okay.....if that is the case make sure to NOT get a penny if won. Doubt it....tool in my opinion.

This would be like suing a golf course for its setup and difficulty because you think it favors one style off play instead of your own. The judge should lock up this guy and his lawyer.

The lawsuit is claiming that it was officially scored and was the new world record typical until B&C changed the measuring rules AFTER it was scored and applied those rules retroactively. Mr. Fish is suing to force B&C to score it using the measuring method that was in place at the time that Mr. King killed it.

The lawsuit is claiming that it was officially scored and was the new world record typical until B&C changed the measuring rules AFTER it was scored and applied those rules retroactively. Mr. Fish is suing to force B&C to score it using the measuring method that was in place at the time that Mr. King killed it. That is exactly what the lawsuit is about in a nutshell....a judgment call that didn't go his way! The Beck Deer deer was scored one then changed to what it is now also...."judgment call" From the Beck Deer... "The scoring procedure has been reviewed and after tine classification was verified this deer scores an amazing 305 7/8. Three tines originally scored as normal were deemed abnormal. On t...his particular head it took away 2/8 in deductions but when the H4 circumference measurements were taken with the correct classification the circumferences dropped a few inches resulting in a lower net score than the original posted 308 5/8. The final tally on this deer is 222 4/8 gross typical frame 93 7/8 in abnormals, and the reason that this buck’s final score ranks it as the largest non typical whitetail taken in the last decade and the second largest in hunter taken in history is that it only has 10 4/8 of deductions left to right."
