As most of you know we lost our dog last Wednesday. Its been rough and we knew right away that we needed to get a new one. I posted earlier in "Live from the stand" that I was cutting my hunt short so we could go look at a pup. We first met the parents to see what their temperaments were like and we then really got to examine the pups. After close inspection we decided that we couldn't get one. SO WE GOT TWO! Meet our newest puppies! Makya and Zoey! They are 6 week old pitbulls. I'm Makya... ...an I'm Zoey I'll post better pictures when I get them. I fully intend on having some of the finest shed hunting and deer tracking dogs a guy could ask for! My intentions are good, theirs might not be! lol! To all the great guys that have offered me pups and sent me leads on finding some, I really appreciate it and thanks to everyone for their kind words in our time of loss.

Good for you. What is scarier than a pitbull? 2 of them! Best of luck.
I had to put my chessy down last night. He was a great dog. One of the hardest things I have had to do. It will be a while for me to get a new dog, if ever. My wife still has an ankle biter, but I don't consider that thing a dog!

So sorry to hear that Duff. I knew it would be tough but didn't think I'd cry for a week! They truly do become part of the family.

That chessy when you approached the kennel. He was one mean sucker caged up. Again, sorry to hear.

I spent 5 years without a dog and I WON'T do it again. There is nothing like coming home to that unconditional love everyday. I have an 8 yo Golden and now have(as of last summer)a Westie. That lil bugger has attitude for days! Got bitten by a rattlesnake earlier this summer and lived to tell the tale

Not a Dachshund, but he was free and from a hunting mother, so I have high hopes. Mountain cur/beagle mix.
