This front is bringing slightly cooler temp's but still unseasonably warm. 15 day forecast is calling for above normal temp's still with lows in upper 40's and lower 50's and highs most days in 70's. Not real great for daytime movement other than once doe"s start coming into estrous bucks will be moving more regardless of temp's. Weather could suppress the seeking and chasing phases a few days though. Would sure be nice to get a stretch of 30 degree days..... Hopefully a cold snap will arrive soon??

How much will corn up effect the rut phases? My main farm i hunt still has atleast 400 acres surrounded it. Havent saw but 2 doe there all season, very unusual. I know they are in the corn. Will they come out to seek does? Or just search the corn for does bedded there? How much bedding do you think happens in corn? Wondering what everyones opinions are.

Why wouldn't they hide in the corn? I've seen deer a handful of times while walking out in the early morning.

The corn should be gone by the Rut. Worst case, two more weeks before all crops are harvested at least where I hunt..... My beans were harvested and sold yesterday and that is a bit late.

Tornado sirens and hail here. Not the best hunting weather.

Were still a few weeks away from the rut. Dont stress I am stressed lol. With this rain, keeping farmers out of the fields, stresses even more! After this rain moves out, it looks like it clears up a bit with some dry weather. Hopefully theyll hit it hard then. Ive yet to see horns this year out of the stand. Not the norm.

Never is the warm weather! Hint- Anything above 55 degrees and the big bucks lay low, except the rut. Of course, this is changing each day closer.

I never see decent shooter bucks until Halloween thru thanksgiving. If I catch one before Halloween its usually at last light.

Me personally I just want to see deer moving more. Doesn't matter if it's buck or doe, so long as I get a good shot at taking 1 or 2 home with me this season.

Both my brothers and mine was this week (21-23). His score is 198 and mine 158 (8pt). Outside of rut, this is one of my favorite weeks if the weather is under 60. This year it is and I'm ready.
