I hunt public land, with an abundance of coyotes, I literally tracked a coyote over 400 yards not by tracks but by poop I mean this thing walked a sraight line dropping his business every 50 or so yards. Question, is it legal to shoot and drag them off out of sight and let them lay, for one I can get in stand and hunt over his disgusting corpse and kill others, second it won't be out in the open for other hunters to walk up on..

I think you can leave them lay as they are or move them. Just not leave them in the woods to rot.

There's no law that states that you can't shoot coyotes and leave them to rot. Pop them, drag them wherever you want them, and leave them lying there if you don't want their hides.

I don't think that they would appreciate it on public ground though Who knows? Since there is no wanton waste law for varmints, no sense in packing them out just to toss them elsewhere if you don't plan on skinning them. I've been coyote hunting on the Crane base in the past, and they were left to rot there as well.
