At 815 am I see this doe working towards me in the thicket to my left. I grab my bow and hear more footsteps directly behind me and close. I turn to see a six point and another doe 10 yards behind me. Before I know it I'm looking at the six point through my climber platform. He wonders what my smell is but never catches on as the doe I first saw moves in right under me as well. The buck and first doe move on and the rear doe finally notices something's not right. As she trotted away I mouthed bleated and drew all at once. She stopped and turned. Put a great shot on her for the angle she was at. Later found the broad head in the heart while gutting. Mule kicked and ran thirty yards and expired in the field. Awesome hunt. Awesome meat.

Thanks guys. This north wind has kept me out of my good spots. So I've settled for my second choice. I don't shoot does in my "good spots" but unfortunately for this doe she walked by and was fair game! I'll be in another new tree tomorrow morning. It'll be cool to see some different woods and anticipate what might come by.

Well done. The best shots are the ones where you don't have time to think!
