I wore the alpha mudlites and they lasted forever (to me) I found a good deal on bogs and although they are comfortable and light and fit well they are so hot, I can only wear them when It's frigid out or I have to walk in the stream to cool my feet off. I have had the winchesters and the alphaburly honestly if you are going with an all rubber boot buy a 20 dollar pair and outfit them with whatever socks you need. I bought mucks because I got two brand new pair for cheap, what size you wear? But I need a link that works to tell you if they are the same winchesters I've used.
I've worn rubber boots alot, had alot of different pairs. coon hunting will let you know if a boot is worth a darn or not.

what I've noticed with the multipiece construction like that is the seams leak usually whrre the boot meets the tread or right in the front at the ankle where it bends most

I have had the same 2 pairs of mucks for 5 seasons now. Wear the lightweight pair about 75% of the time and they don't have a sigh of wear on them. Wear the heavier pair when temps dip in the low 20s. They are the most comfortable boots I own. Bought my wife a pair because I got tired of her complaining about the $20 pairs she was buying. They aren't cheap but I don't think you can get away with cheap when it comes to your feet.

Boots last me about 3 years ..... unless we are talking leather boots in which case my last pair of Danner's lasted me about 10 years.
I bought a pair of Lacrosse Aerohead boots 3 years ago and really liked them because of the weight but they developed a small leak pretty quickly. I tolerated the leak for a couple of years but this past summer it developed into a "fill the boot with water in a very short amount of time" leak.
I went to our local Rural King and bought a pair of UA boots .... we shall see how long they last.
I walk 1/2 mile minimum each way every time I hunt so I want something that takes care of my feet .... I can live with the relatively short life they provide as long as they are comfortable while they last.

I have the Lacrosse Aerohead boots for 3 years going on the 4th. These boots are awesome and have shown little wear or cracking like most rubber boots. I highly recommend these boots. Really warm. Just don't want to wear but a single pair of socks year round.

I'll never go back to an all rubber except for if I buy a pair for something I know is going to ruin them in a day. I've had neoprene through some thick nasty brush and I think unless you fell out of and through a locust tree you won't tear the neoprene easy

I do a lot of shed hunting and rabbit hunting in some thick briers and underbrush and have had no problems so far. The neoprene is pretty thick.

Mine didnt last a month before it leaked ..... more of a manufacturing problem than a material problem Im sure. The 3.5MM Aeroheads that I wore were without a doubt among the warmest boots Ive ever worn. I bought them to be an early season thing but found them warm enough for any weather with the right combination of socks.
