That make sense now in Cincinnati. Two years ago both announced new big stores on the north side of Cincy on a couple miles apart. Bass Pro backed out last year. This must have been in the works for awhile.

Good deal maybe Bass Pro will close down the Hammond Cabela's, never did like that store.
I guess I better use up my Cabela's credit card points.

Scheels is way better than both. IMO I definitely agree. Only been to one out in Sioux Falls, SD and I wish we had one here!

Bought a lot of gear at Uncle Lee's in Central City KY, before they shut it down. Heard it might open up again, if not their online store is Wing Supply. Good prices on anything hunting. Bought a couple of guns there over the years.

I use Walmart, ALOT for sporting goods. I would use bass pro or Cabela's if they were 10 miles away. I remember galyans in the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area seemed so cool when I was a kid, heck they even had kayaks there. I'd never seen them for sale before that. Then I went to Dicks and it was nothing like the store I thought it was.

Scheels is way better than both. IMO Tell you what, you put one of them right off the tollway in S.B or LaPorte, and put an Academy right next to them and I'll forget about going to Cabela's or Bass Pro!

Academy is good! And well priced. I bought a new camo coat there last year for 14$. Can't beat that. Ive bought numerous other things there too. I still find myself heading to gander and rural king for guns though. Especially now that gander does price match. bullseye69www.academy.com/

I still have a lot of the gear I bought there. Dicks is only a shadow of what Galyan's was. I knew a few people that worked there, and they didn't like it after Dicks took over. None of them stayed very long after the buyout.
