Last year I bought a used 2007 Bear truth from a friend, I wasnt sure if I would like archery (or be good at it), so I didnt want to spend a lot. I like archery, and I like this bow. It certainly will still kill deer if I do my part. After butter fingering an arrow last year and knicking my buss cable in early October, and now having some serving coming loose near the cam, im thinking having a back up bow isnt a bad idea. So looking at lots of bows today, the BR33 meets the specs im looking for, though if I can talk myself into buying a new one, Ill shoot as many as I can. BR33 specs: What Im looking for is: 7" brace height IBO greater than 320fps Approx 33" ATA Adjustable from 60-70# Minimum draw length 27" (mine is really about 26.5 inches but my current bow is 27.5 and im used to it. Now, after all that, is anyone using a BR33 that can provide some hands on thoughts about it?

Sure i could buy it for $300 next year, but waiting is dumb.

Set at 70# which is too heavy for me. Turned it down till I could pull it back. Still a little heavy but initial impression is this is a super smooth bow. Going to see if I can find the rest and stabilizer I want locally. Already have a deal for an HHA single pin to trade for at the end of season. I have a couple spare sights lying around till then. If I can find the rest and stabilizer ill take it in for set up and tuning.

Turned this down to a manageable weight today. Should be right at 60#. Also adjusted the draw length down to 27.5".
As seen in the pics it is a hybrid cam bow, where as my 2007 truth is a single cam. Initial impression is that it is a much smoother drawing bow as I said above, and feels much more balanced, though it is still a bare bow.
Its almost identical specs at 33 1/4 inches, 330 IBO, 7" brace height, 80% let off, weighing in at 4.2#. IBO for the truth is 310.
Earlier I ordered a G5 meta peep sight, 6" trophy ridge static stabilizer, and a NAP Apache drop away.
Hopefully Ill have this set up and at least shooting in a few weeks.

Only 20 yards but i shot my 1st and 2nd arrows today and theyvwere touching. Its noticeably smoother than my bear truth, quieter, and despite being the same weight, feels 2 pounds lighter and better balanced. Happy with this purchase for sure
