Hey all I'm new to the page and had a question on what you guys think of using different scent elimination products. I've alway been a big Hunters Specialties guy myself and really like the new things they came out with. They put a spin on their old dirt wafers and put them into a small fan, I think to be used in stands to cover scent? And then one thing I already bought was the new biostrike clothes packet and spray bottle. Supposedly keeps clothes scent free for a month and the spray takes care of the rest. What are your thoughts? What do you generally like to use? I'll give a review of what I think of the biostrike stuff later on in the season.

If it makes you more confident using these items then go for it. Otherwise hunt the wind and you'll be just fine. If the deer get downwind of you they are going to smell you no matter what you try to mask your scent with.

First welcome to the forum, hope your deer season is fun and successful. I use scent elimination spray but mainly hunt the wind. There are good products out there but I don't buy into all the hype that you need the latest and greatest to kill a deer.

There is only one way to beat a deer's nose and that is to be down wind of it.

Scent free deorant starting week before hutning season along with scent free shampoo for hair/body for the entire time I plan to hunt. Normally don't wash the camo endless they get bloody Store them in tote at the end of season with baking soda layered in jacket sprinkle, pants sprinkle, shirt sprinkle etc. Two weeks before hunting season I take them back out shake off the baking soda an do it once more. As for boots sprinkle some in there I might spray scent eliminator on my boots.

I wash and spray my camo/body. Deodorant and some wipes. In this heat it is impossible to be scent "free" sweating walking to the stand. I would not go crazy and spend a lot of money. These companies know we will buy the latest and greatest to get closer to that big buck were chasing. Truth is those deer know where there before we step into the wooss if tje wind is wrong for your approach. Ozonics is a product I think works but we only see the clips of deer coming in downwind and how awesome it is but at $300 or more, no thanks. A new company has a closet contraption that makes your clothes scent free? Whew, ranting. I do like hunter specialties and their products. I have started to bring fresh earth dryer sheets and hanging those up instead of the wafers. Those wafers are $$$for only 3. A pack of fresh earth dryer sheets are 6 bucks for 15.
