Last week our 2001 6x6 ranger was stolen out of our barn in Brown County. I am sick of this crap and no matter the security steps you take if they want it they get it. Unfortunately it likely is out of state by now but may have been local. Fortunately they left the bass boat alone which was at time unlocked and loaded for a tournament trip. I do not have a great pic other than one with it covered in pumpkins. It is green with large brush guards on front and back. If anyone sees one for sell please contact me or the brown county sheriff's dept. My wife works there and they will know who to contact. I just want it back due to hard to replace in shape it was. We did have insurance on it.

I'll keep an eye and ear out. We have land in brown county and are thru there all the time. I hate thieves.

Hate to hear that, hope you had it insured. Thieves suck, may they all be hung by their thumbs.

It was insured, and they knew what they were after. It is either local or been shipped out. It is rather pointless to have when you are afraid that someone may see you on it and steal it. My son misses it the most. It does have some fairly recognizable parts on it that I can identify. Tons of break ins recently as my wife works for the sheriff's dept but not many large items like this so they we rather surprised. I just hope the a holes realize the gas gauge doesn't work like I did when it ran out.

We have a Polaris dealer here in town and 5-7 years ago someone pulled up a truck and stole 16 4 wheelers and Rangers from them. This place is in town too someone had a big set and knew what they were doing. They didn't have any outdoor lights or cameras. They had no clue who did it and were never recovered. They now have lights and cameras.

6x6 as in 6 passengers side by side or one of the old style 6x6 as in the 6 wheel single passenger ATV?
The 6 wheeled machine should be easier to come across.

OK. Is it red? Does it have "the boss" on the gas tank? Does it have "the tank" on the side of the bed?

What part of brown county are you in? I know quite a few of the sheriffs in brown county. Mainly the ones that work the lakes area.

Whitetaildave I appreciatever it. I know most of them and live two house from a deputy but down the Rd. My wife worksin dispatch for the sheriff's dept and the sheriff himself took the investigation. For those asking it is a green Ranger 6 wheeler basically. It has heavy duty brush guards and it is the original style. Beefed and heavier than those built now. It is a 2001 but basically I belive identical to a 99 to 2004 I believe. It was someone local as there are some questionable people who work for the group that farms our land or a group from out of town as I was using it to work on the barn the last few days and I live on the hwy and seen it. It was in closed barn but impossible to really securely lock.

Were you able to provide police with the vehicle identification numbers from the title or C-of-O.
