I might have spoiled the rest of the year for myself. This is 2 hours of work between myself and a buddy of mine. Not totally fair since it was a semi private lake, still puts food on the table for a few meals.

When I moved close to the Ohio River" 10miles" and started catching Blues I was hooked for life Caught blues up to 50# Flathead to 35 # Flatheads are the Holy Grail But Blues are the Ones I catch the most of 42 biggest last year.. better be prepared for the big ones or they will put a whipping on ya Indiana Record Blue 104 #

I had a big blues horns come through my boot once. Luckily it didn't hurt my foot really. But I was worried till I got my boot off.

For the price, this cat fight rod with the okuma reel should do the trick. My buddy pulled in the first blue @11 pounds. Small for a blue but still a good fight.

Flatheads are the Holy Grail whys that? Their just special to any die hard Catfiserman ,like some feel about Small mouth Or Brook trout It's a BOC thing (Brotherhood of Catfishermen )

big cats are the magic that keeps me heading back. blues are the biggest in our area so...guess they are the best for me but anything over 20# is awesome for me
