A friend of mine sent me some pictures of the baddest turkey loads know to man this evening. He loaded these up for my son's 20 ga. I already have a few 12 ga left over from last year for myself. Not much to look at, but if you enjoy reloading and crushing turkey heads this is the ticket.

I hope that young man gets a monster tom with those shells! He has a good teacher helping him.

The guy loading them told me today that he has a client leaving on Tuesday and is free the rest of the week. Hopefully we can work something out. That will give us a couple of different options.

What shot size/powder load are they? They are TSS shot. Not sure of the powder. I have a chart that he sent me of the different loads amd results performed on them. I shot some birds in another state last spring with them and they are deadly. They are 7.5's.

The boys on old gobbler love that stuff. They almost all shot 9 shot. That stuff isn't cheap.

I saw patterns out to 80 yards on there. One boy just bought 2 lbs for 83 bucks a pound and it fit in a skoal can.

I got to pattern my boys gun with these loads Wednesday. Shot at a paper at 20 and 40 yards. Attempted to draw a turkey head and count the pellets in that area on the 40 yard target. Gave up.

Gave up. can't count that high or can't draw anything that resembles a turkey head close enough?! Both. It was a lot. I remember when I started I was happy with 10-15 in the head at 30 yards. 10x that is a lot better.
