Yes, right now going on in LaPorte and St. Joe counties, as well as several others. But those two affect me, between home and work. I have to drive 16mi straight east to work, and the wind is straight from the north. Supposed to be worst (50mph) late afternoon, right when I leave for work. And no telling what tonight will look like. I have a job (mechanic) that does not give me the option to call off work (2nd shift only mechanic). With all the tree and fence rows being yanked out around here for irrigation, the wind blows across the fields for miles. SR 2 has never been drifted over so much in my 14yrs of driving this route. Everybody be careful out there. I will report back on conditions once I get to work. Wish me luck!

Good luck!
About 5" here in Starke County, roads were crappy at 11 a.m. CST. The drive home should be fun for ya. Throw a shovel, chain, boots and gloves in the truck. Make sure your cell phone is charged before you leave work for home.
Here, they are calling for 3"-5" today, same tonight and 1"-3" tomorrow.
The pond is open, no ice.

Roads were not too bad on way in. Soon as I got to work, wife calls and says power went out. I talked her thru hooking up the generator, runs but it wont power up. Must have lost the charge, again. Happened once before. You have to zap it from a power source, but obviously no good at the moment. We use a woodstove, so no heat problem. Kid is having fun cooking hotdogs and ravioli on top of the woodstove. Nothing worse than roughing it. Lol. Boss just went home and called back in. Conditions real bad south of South Bend when you get out of the city. Oh what a joy.

Band of snow came back. The neighbor did me a favor and plowed my gravel drive. Unfortunately, he must have had the plow a little low and all I saw in the snow that was moved is gravel....
There's a reason why I have a snowthrower on the tractor and set the shoes at 2". Oh well, I can't complain too much, they are great neighbors. We really watch out for each other, have keys for each others houses, etc.

We missed-out on this snow event, here in Kentucky. <GOOD!!!> I guess My Sister & Brother-In-Law got some heavy snow up in Clinton County, Indiana.

Hardly anything on the ground here - and that's fine with me.

What snow? It's all gone now. If the storm tonight tracks South instead of North like I saw last night on the weather, it will be last week all over again.....

Be thankful you only have to drive in crappy weather, not work in it. Nothing like installing sattelite systems in weather like that. Grrrrr

I was a mechanic at a La Porte Co. landscaping and at Steel warehouse. Had to go out many times and put a track back on a dozer or fix a hydraulic leak in the middle of some crappy weather. Also road calls for semis broke down in the winter, gelled up and won't start.... Did those two jobs for 5 years and 8 years respectively. Luckily found a job that I don't have to do that any more!
