Anyone on here know anything about goats, especially if the doe is pregnant and how close she is to kidding? I think my doe, well pretty sure she is pregnant, is about to kid.

Put her in your truck and take her to the vet, they will give you an accurate answer.
Has she been eating strange things like pickles and ice cream, has she had mood swings, has she been picking out baby clothes and wanting you to paint her pen pink?
Take her to the vet.

We didn't even know you were expecting! We had sheep and we never did anything special for them. One minute there's two sheep and then there were four.

Her, how do I put this, lady parts are pretty swollen and look like a doughnut is best as I can put it. Circle with a noticeable hole. She isn't acting like she's wanting to have anything yet so I don't know. Wife is out in the barn yet again.

Pretty decent guide. www.theprairiehomestead.com/2012/03/goat-101-how-to-tell-when-your-goat-is-in-labor-or-getting-close.html Udder isn't the most reliable sign. Usually I check the ligaments on the back and see how far she has "dropped." She could also be coming back into heat. Usual signs of heat include: 1) Flagging - this is when your doe wags her tail usually vigorously and more often then normal. 2) clear to white discharge - noticeable on her vulva or on her tail, a transfer from contact. 3) Pink to red vulva - swelling in the vulva area which can be seen as pink or red depending on the degree of swelling. 4) calling - crying out more then usual, can even sound like a moan - mine usually scream 5) affectionate - being more friendly then normal, wanting you to stay with her and pet and scratch her - seems extra upset when you leave 6) mounting - yes a doe in heat sometimes will mount another doe. It can be flipped with the doe in heat being mounted by anther doe NOT in heat. So check for other signs on either doe to see which one is really the on in heat. The mounting can also be accompanied by blubbering noises and stomping.
