Hunting these planted eggs in completely unethical! Taking them out of their natural habitat and inserting them into unknown territory is not fair chase and anyone involved should be ashamed.

I recently uncovered a scheme where nefarious folk were taking children out to "plant" jelly beans, then take the kids out on Easter when the jelly beans had somehow magically transformed into easter eggs. Talk about bait and switch!

I don't even eat eggs. Instead, I'd rather let them hatch, and grow-up then eat the chicken fried or baked.

Oh, the quandary! What shall I do? I guess I will selectively harvest some eggs and allow others to mature into trophies.

I did a put and take pheasant / chukar hunt one time where the birds were about as mobile as Easter eggs. On several occasions we had to kick them to get them to fly.

Not only taking them out of their natural habit but shaming them with pastel colors even is inhumane! It's OK, they get color coded so no one will over harvest. Each person gets one color and they are done. Well, as long as they aren't colorblind.
