I've been looking into getting a 9 mm carbine. I've looked at high points but heard they are unreliable. I know they have lifetime warranty, but I don't want to mess with sending it in to get fixed every few months. Anyone have experience with these guns? I've also looked at the berreta cx4 and ar platform in 9 mm but these run about 1000$.

How many rounds are you planning on putting through it? I've had a few high points and never had problems out of them. Never had that particular rifle

Mainly be a fun gun but if liked it enough use for home defense. Was wanting an ar/tactical style gun and figured one that shot 9 mm be cheaper to shoot. Not interested in long range shooting, just something that will put a lot of rounds out quickly and accurately at close range. Surprisingly not a lot of options out there. Guess marlin and ruger both made good 9 mm carbine once but discontinued them

A buddy has an AR that was converted or made to shoot 9mm. It's a blast to use, very little recoil and it's a lot more accurate than a pistol. he's got a small red dot sight on it.

Look at the Chiappa M-1 carbine in 9mm. Interesting gun. Of course, there's always a Marlin Camp Gun.

Ended up going with an ar platform. Uses glock mags. No jams and pretty accurate. Barrel of fun!

I own a hi point 45 and never a problem. I turned a friend on to them and he has 45 pistol and carbine. Hi point is reliable and accurate. I've read tons of stuff bad mouthing them but have never seen any proof. For the price you can't go wrong
