Well...I am tires of paying 40 bucks for 3 broadheads and 25 for more blades. I found Chinese Hypodermic knock offs on amazon 12 for 30 bucks! These include extra shock collars and do not require o rings so I feel comfortable using on my xbow. These will be on my arrows for the rest of urban and hope to post kill shots wit reviews on performance.

$2.50 each instead of $13 each? Wow.
I'll need to look up where Rage is manufactured....even if they are 100% made in the USA that is a huge difference.

Let us know how they work. At first, I didn't want to trust a mechanical blade. Actually, one blade did not open on that buck I lost this year. I'm 100% confident that this is why I lost him. LOL

Oh no john! I put my experience of kills behind the rage brand but you Sir have my respect of experience. What were you shooting? Brand?

I shot 9 deer and 2 coyotes with Rage 2-blade broadheads and only got a single pass-through on one doe. 300-grain arrow at 305 FPS. In addition to the recovered animals above, I lost two bucks to Rages as well. One survived and was hit by a car two months later with my Rage still in it, and I have no idea if the other one survived.
I switched to Slick Trick fixed blades and have 11 pass-throughs on deer and, I believe, 3 coyotes. 100% so far.

I've looked at them on eBay as well id say some off season shopping and you can cut that price in half if you are willing to wait a while for them to arrive

I've used slick tricks and did not like the results on the only critter I killed with them. Put 2 killing arrows into an elk and the animal did not openly bleed.
I've also killed several animals with the original 2 blade Rage and have been very happy with the blood and results.
If the Rage uses parts made in a foreign country or uses and is assembled in a foreign country I would buy the knock offs instead. If they are 100% American made and assembled then I'll continue to buy and support an American product.
Until I'm able to tinker and get the original 3 blade Muzzy to fly well again....

I'm be never been able to find slick tricks on the shelf anywhere. Who carries them? Cabela's, Bass Pro, Amazon, etc. I usually Google them to find the best price and mail order them.

I've also killed several animals with the original 2 blade Rage and have been very happy with the blood and results. I killed those nine deer with them, but had eight broken arrows to show for it when they either fell over dead on them or snapped them off when racing off through brush. That got expensive quickly. LOL!

Oh no john! I put my experience of kills behind the rage brand but you Sir have my respect of experience. What were you shooting? Brand? It was not Rage. Maybe I need to try them. I ask myself if I want a little slice or a big sliver.

LOL! The fact I'm looking at a ruined broadhead, at the very least, has saved many critters that have passed my way while I'm in a tree. Years ago when I carried 7 arrows I'd always carry a field point for squirrels and other things. Now with only a 3 arrow quiver and all arrows wearing a Rage I don't shoot anything but deer or yotes. Broadhead is $13....arrow and broadhead hits close to $25. No squirrels or coons for that price.

You could always use a fixed blade and sharpen after season

You could always use a fixed blade and sharpen after season Yes, I must say that I like a fixed blade, but I'm going to give the Rage a try. I liked the heads I used this year, but I don't mind giving something else a chance.

I'm 3 for 3 with rage. All does, with only one complete pass thru. I will say neither of the 3 went further than 40yrds. Still have all 3 bolts as well. I usually buy a pack beginning of season with intentions of them lasting all year, one per deer with the bundle license. If I take one during gun or muzzy then that saves me one to rollover for the next season. Which usually always happens. I've done this for years and now have several saved up. When I was in the military and lived in Colorado, I'd buy my archery gear from a shop out there. That's where I first heard from slick tricks. I bought some and tried them for a season. I shot a buck and a doe with them. The buck didn't go far and I was glad he didnt, we didn't find a drop of blood on a complete pass thru. The doe I was sure of a dead ring shot, searched for 2 days without finding her...that was the end of slick tricks for me and the beginning of rage.
