What about 4x the posted speed limit? Wasn't here in Indiana tho.... The good 'ol days....pretty sure they wouldn't have the same sense of humor today.

There are plenty of people with no duis that shouldn't be carrying guns and there are people with multiple felonies that are more responsible than most non felons... We all commit felonies some people just don't get caught NO, WE ALL DONT

Maybe someone should tell Senator Jones that Indiana does not issues licenses to own handguns.

I have had a second thought. I'm not sure that I would want to penalize someone for past mistakes. People do change, so after a given amount of time with no incidents, I think they should be able to get a CCW.

Honestly, this thought should apply to all things. If someone is convicted, serves their time including post release probation/parole, and doesn't have any issues during that time shouldn't their record be cleared or should they forever pay for one mistake?

I'm sorry that I am the only one who has committed a felony on this website.. I am accompanied by a well behaved bunch and didn't even know it. No fighting or anything your parents should be proud.

Felonies have a very high threshold. What we consider very bad might not rise to that legal level.. I've done a lot of things I'm not proud of, but only that several tokes on a joint back in California even came close to that level. I'm not even sure that was a felony back then.

My mom beat me. I was afraid to get into trouble. No speeding tickets without having any family member in law enforcement.
Of course, I got saved at the age of 12 and raised in church. I was a good kid and responsible adult. Proverbs has kept me out of a lot of trouble.
However, I think anyone is capable of some really bad things in certain bad situations. The trick is to avoid those situations.

The most important thought here is it can't be proven that it's a felony if they never find the bodies. Eventually they stop looking, the cops get worn out with all the questioning, and life pretty much goes back to normal. So how about those deer harvest numbers..... :-)

Hhmmm....might argue against the "we all commit felonies" thing. We all break the law but felonies are generally a little harder to do. Which felony have you personally committed but not been caught/prosecuted of? Also, there is currently in place a process to regain gun rights for certain individuals prosecuted of a felony. Was having a conversation with one such individual this past week. Consensual sodomy is a felony in 12 states. That's all I'm going to say about that. :-O

It is possible that others have committed a felony and not even realized it. Laws vary from State to State and some of them are pretty crazy and things you would never think of rising to that level may well be on the books; if never enforced.

My point, of course I'm not saying we all commit felonies knowingly. But there is a lot of grey area in the vast amounts of laws and regulations
